Vancouver - city of insanity
Two news stories came out of Vancouver in a very short time. I'm sure you heard that the Vancouver Canuks lost to Boston in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and that riots ensued, but you might have missed the other news story: Vancouver home prices average $800,000. Ok, why mention these both in one place? Isn't the answer obvious? No wonder there were riots in Vancouver. Anyone living in that kind of housing market is obviously insane and so why wouldn't they riot? I think Vancouver has become a haven for nutcases. Clearly the Sedins need to get out of that kind of environment and should come play for Toronto.

Happy Pi day. And other nerdy stuff
Of course you already know that today is pi day (3/14) so don't forget to draw a Euclidean plane circle and look at the ratio of the circumference to its diameter...
In other nerdy news here is a game you can play in the url of your browser
Hunt 'Animals' in your url
Did you know that daylight savings can be bad for your health? When are we going to stop this silly practice? I don't like having to get up an hour earlier.

Stuck in line shopping?
Do you feel like you are always stuck in the slowest line at the mall? Well statistically speaking you probably are.

Feel Good Story
This story here was very touching. A young man who loves his family more than fame or fortune. What a good news story in 'reality tv' culture we live in. Family is the bedrock of our society so its good to someone willing to make sacrifices for family!

Pretty Neat Huh?
Data and statistics can actually be interesting. No really. They can be! Even though this video uses data and statistics to present the results, it is done in a very interesting and visual way. I found it fascinating to see how far our world has come in terms of material blessings and health in the last 200 years. Especially noteworthy is that in the last 50 years, African and Asian and the so called '3rd world' countries, have started to make leaps and bounds in this direction. As the presenter says at the end of the video, pretty neat huh?

Its that time of year
Hmm...Time to post something on here again I think. Just a quick one though cause I want to get to bed and get in a good night's sleep. So what is going on in my life right now?
Well, I am working for a fencing company for the summer putting up fences (duh). Lots of work and exercise. (maybe I'll be able to put on some muscle this summer) Hey I can dream can't I? Don't take that away from me. Other than that I ain't up to too much. Playing some sports whenever I can and always staying out of trouble *innocent grin* Oh and I"m driving the 'boat' (aka my parent's big red van). Lots of fun :)
Bed time for me though. nighty night y'all

Its cold
I'm sitting here in the kitchen studying and after a while I noticed that my toes and ears where starting to feel a little cold so I took a look at the weather and noticed that its -27 with the windchill today. Maybe that explains the 2 inch layer of ice on the inside of my window. Well I better get back to the studying (after I find my gloves).

My life
So, I've decided to come out of hiding for a few minutes and post something on here. I've been pretty busy lately with classes, homework and all the rest of it that comes with being back in school. I'm playing volleyball once again this term and so far we have won our first two matches in two games straight. Other than that I'm doing exciting stuff like calculating the Nernst Potential in an electrolytic solution and other such interesting calculations. Don't you wish you were an engineer? Of course I also have to start looking for work for the summer term so if you have an leads you know where to send them. Well its time to get back to the books so I can finish up my assignment and go snowboarding this afternoon!!!

Random stuff about me.
ok I've been tagged so I'll do this.
6 random facts about me:
1) I have 7 brothers and only 1 sister
2) I don't like chocolate
3) I average 3 hours and 45 minutes a month talking on my cell phone
4) My front two teeth are mainly fake
5) I pay $17 an hour for the classes I take at school (Approximately)
6) I am very mad at my school right now because in spite of the (large amounts) of perfectly good money I fork over to them every semester they can't do simple things like keep the jobmine website up and running.

Hi
Just wanted to let you know that I am alive. Christmas is such a busy time of year especially when your car breaks down and you are working 11 hours a day and you have a christmas party of some sort to go to about every other day and you have to pack up all your stuff so that you can be cleared out of your room by the end of the week and you are flying down to the states for a few days on a pretty much last minute idea and you have to figure out all the paperwork involved in taking a car back from said flight down to the States. Yes indeed. Not much time to post, but after the holidays are over, I will have much to post on. I need to get pictures from people too, but right now I need to go to bed. 4:30 up tomorrow. Yippee.

It's Raining
So I'm at work right now and it is pouring rain so I'm not to busy, but the sad thing is I have to go out in said rain (and blustery cold wind feeling like -4) and try to write stuff down and give it to the truck drivers. Needless to say I am cold right now. I just got in and I feel wetter than a fish in the ocean and colder than a polar bear on an iceberg. It took me about 10 minutes just to type this up because my fingers are so cold they are refusing to move. Hope your day at work is going well too :)
